Terms of use

Version v2. These terms govern use of Paxeto, operated by Paxeto.

Last updated September 2026

1. What this service is

Paxeto is a directory and introduction service. We publish listings for independent transfer agencies and pass traveller enquiries to them. We are not a transport operator, we do not accept bookings, we do not dispatch vehicles and we do not provide transport services of any kind.

Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing we send confirms that a journey has been arranged. Any contract for transport is formed directly between the traveller and the agency, on the agency’s own terms.

2. Prices shown on this site

Prices displayed are indicative starting prices supplied by the agency. They are not quotes, they are not binding on the agency, and they do not include extras such as waiting time, additional stops, child seats or out-of-hours surcharges. Only the agency can price a journey.

3. Terms for travellers

  • You must be 18 or over to submit an enquiry, and the contact details you give must be your own or given with that person’s permission.
  • Submitting a request authorises us to show your journey to the agencies described on the form and in our privacy policy. It does not authorise us to give them your name, phone number or email - that happens only when you share them with an agency, or choose its price.
  • We do not take payment from you and never will. If anyone claiming to represent us asks you to pay us for a journey, it is not us.
  • We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any agency: its pricing, punctuality, vehicles, drivers, cancellations or conduct are its own responsibility.

4. Terms for listed agencies

By applying for or maintaining a listing, the agency confirms and agrees that:

  • It contracts with the traveller directly, as principal, for every journey. We are never a party to that contract and never act as its agent for the purpose of accepting a booking.
  • It holds, and will maintain, every licence, permission, registration and insurance required for its operations in each place it operates, and its drivers and vehicles are correspondingly licensed and insured.
  • The information in its listing - coverage, fleet, prices, features and licence details - is accurate and kept up to date, and it will tell us promptly if a licence or insurance policy lapses, is suspended or is revoked.
  • It will contact enquirers only about the journey they enquired about, will not add them to marketing lists without separate consent, and will handle their personal data as an independent controller in compliance with applicable data protection law.
  • It will not resell, redistribute or scrape enquiry data, and will not use it to solicit other agencies’ customers.
  • It indemnifies us against any claim, loss, fine or cost arising from its provision of transport services, its breach of these terms, or its failure to hold any required licence or insurance.

5. Coins

  • Coins are prepaid. They buy the right to send a price to a traveller and to exchange messages with them. They are not a payment for a journey, and buying them guarantees no work.
  • Coins are deducted when an agency sends a price. Changing a price already sent is a further charge, because it is a further quote.
  • Coins are not returned when a traveller chooses another agency, chooses nobody, or does not reply. The agency received what it paid for: the opportunity to quote and to be heard.
  • We return coins where we reject a request as not genuine after an agency has quoted on it. We may also return them at our discretion where a request was ours to check and we got it wrong.
  • Coins have no cash value, are not transferable between accounts and are not refundable as cash.
  • A traveller who pays coins to send a request to one named agency has them returned in full if that agency sends no price.
  • Coin prices are set by us and may change. The price of quoting on a particular request is fixed when that request opens, and is shown to the agency before it commits.
  • We take no percentage of any fare and make no claim on fare revenue.

6. Moderation and removal

We may decline, suspend or remove a listing at our discretion - in particular where a licence or insurance cannot be verified, has expired or has been revoked; where a listing is a duplicate; or where we receive credible reports of misconduct. A declined applicant may appeal once. Removal does not, by itself, entitle an agency to a refund of unused coins, but we will consider it in good faith.

7. Liability

We provide the directory as it is. We do not warrant that any agency will be available, will respond, or will perform to any standard. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude liability for loss arising from a journey, or from an agency’s acts or omissions. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

8. Changes

We version these terms. When they change materially we publish a new version and record the version an agency accepted at the time it accepted it.
